New York, NY - Today, Assemblymember Harvey Epstein endorsed Congresswoman

Carolyn B. Maloney for re-election to represent New York’s 12th Congressional District. Assemblymember Epstein represents the East Side of Manhattan, including the neighborhoods of the Lower East Side, East Village, Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village, Murray Hill, Kips Bay, Tudor City and the United Nations.

“Congresswoman Maloney is a fighter, and I have had the privilege of seeing that up close,” said Assemblymember Harvey Epstein. “Whether it’s our work together opposing the environmentally detrimental combined heat and power unit at Stuyvesant Town Peter Cooper Village, our successful fight to get the garbage trucks removed from East 10th Street, or our work during the pandemic to get COVID-19 tests and PPE to East Village residents Congresswoman Maloney not only fights for what is right, she also gets it done. She speaks up for the needs of our City and is our advocate in the halls of Congress. As New York City rebuilds from the pandemic, we need her now in Washington more than ever.”

“I am deeply grateful for Assemblymember Epstein’s support,” said Rep. Maloney. “He has been a steadfast partner and advocate in improving the lives of East Siders. I am proud of our ongoing work with the Stuyvesant Town-Peter Cooper Village Residents’ Council to stop the harmful combined heat and power unit, which will make our City a more livable place for generations to come. We have accomplished great things together for our City and I look forward to continuing our work together.”
