Updated: Jul 5

New York, NY - Today, Councilmember Keith Powers endorsed Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney for re-election. Councilmember Powers represents Carnegie Hill, Central Park South, Garment District, Koreatown, Midtown East, Midtown West, Murray Hill, Peter Cooper Village and Stuyvesant Town, Sutton Place, Times Square, Tudor City, Turtle Bay, Upper East Side, and Waterside Plaza.

“Throughout her career, Carolyn Maloney has shown that she goes to the mat for the issues that matter most— from protecting consumers against big banks, fighting for a woman’s right to choose, or ensuring that our 9/11 heroes get the health care that they deserve. There’s no more urgent moment to send Carolyn Maloney back to Congress,” said Councilmember Keith Powers.

“I am deeply grateful for Councilmember Powers’ support,” said Rep. Maloney. “He has been a steadfast advocate in improving the lives of East Siders. I am proud of our ongoing work with the Stuyvesant Town-Peter Cooper Village Residents’ Council to stop the harmful combined heat and power unit, as well as working to get vaccines to KoreaTown and reaching an agreement to protect tenants against growing rent increases and preserve affordable housing at Waterside Plaza. We have accomplished great things together for our City and I look forward to working with him as we recover from COVID-19.”
