House To Subpoena Postmaster General For USPS Documents Detailing Changes

House Oversight Committee chairwoman Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) informed lawmakers Monday that she intends to subpoena U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy for documents explaining his controversialchangesto the U.S. Postal Service—which have resulted in widespread mail delays—after the Trump allied-postmaster general refused to comply with lawmakers’ requests to provide documents voluntarily.

Maloney asked DeJoy during a House hearing Aug. 24 to provide the House Oversight Committee with documents by Aug. 26.
