Maloney Applauds Cuomo for Expanding Health Services, Testing to NYCHA Residents

Following Governor Cuomo’s announcement that New York State has launched a new partnership with Ready Responders to expand essential COVID-19 health care services to NYCHA residents,

“Public housing residents have much higher rates of asthma, diabetes, and other underlying health conditions that place them at a much greater risk of contracting COVID-19, and New York’s response to this crisis must address their needs. I am incredibly thankful that Governor Cuomo and Ready Responders is launching this initiative to bring critical health care services and COVID-19 diagnostic testing to NYC public housing residents. I am especially grateful that my constituents who live in Queensbridge Houses, the largest public housing development in the nation, will be included in the initial phase of this program. New York State must continue working to protect the health and safety of the over half a million New Yorkers who live in NYCHA residences who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.”
