Maloney Urges State Dept. to Cont. Bringing Home Americans Stranded Abroad

Following ten of her constituents being brought home after being stranded in Morocco due to COVID-19, Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (NY-12) issued the following statement on March 23 praising the State Department’s action and urging the continued work to bring home every American stranded abroad due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“I am incredibly thankful for the Department of State and United States Embassy’s actions to assist American citizens, including ten of my constituents, in getting back home during the COVID-19 outbreak. Closed borders, movement restrictions, cancelled flights, and mandatory quarantines due to coronavirus have severely hindered travel and left many Americans stranded outside of the United States. I urge Secretary Pompeo to continue this work and implement immediate, comprehensive action to ensure every American abroad who wants to return to the United States can safely do so."
