Taminent Regular Democratic Club Dinner Dance

The Taminent Regular Democratic Club held their 87th annual dinner dance celebration on Friday, November 2 at Riccardos’s by the Bridge. The Taminent Regular Democratic Club had a wonderful turnout. This year’s honorees are:

Woman of the Year – Candis Tolliver, Deputy Director (Tri-State Region) SEIU 32BJ

Ralph DeMarco Award – Anna Kril, Founder & President of Shareing & Careing

Gloria D’Amico Trail Blazer – Heather Ann Cortes, Co-President, Taminent Regular Democratic Club

Community Service Award – Joseph DiPietro, President, Federation of Italian American Organizations of Queens

Community Service Award – Florence Koulouris, District Manager, Queens Community Board 1

Political Activism Award – Julia Sorrentino, Co-Founder of Hearts Across Queens

Political Activism Award – Megan Stotts, Co-Founder of Hearts Across Queens

As always, this event was a popular stop for Queens and citywide elected officials. In attendance were Borough President Melinda Katz, Congress Members Carolyn Maloney, NYS Senator Michael Gianaris, Assembly Member Aravella Simotas, Council Members Costa Constantinides and Paul Vallone, District Leader Carol Scarano and former City Council Speaker Peter Vallone Sr. Taking place right before Election Day, all the elected officials reminded the full room to get out and vote.

The Taminent Regular Democratic Club meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 32-33 31st Street in Astoria, at 7:30 pm. New members are always welcome. Pictured bottom right Felix DeVito and Paul Halvatzis.
