An endorsement from New York’s Bravest
“Carolyn Maloney stood as tall as the Twin Towers after 9/11 and today she stands as tall as the Freedom Tower.”
Jake Lemonda, President of the Uniformed Fire Officers Association
Working hand in hand with the firefighters and fire officers, and many, many others, I wrote and fought to pass in 2010 the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation to provide health care to our 9/11 first responders and survivors. And this past December, as these programs began to expire, we worked together again and passed an $8.1 billion reauthorization so that the tens of thousands of men and women, responders and survivors who rely on these programs never have to worry about losing their life-saving benefits.
This endorsement comes on the heels of support from the New York State AFL-CIO, New York State United Teachers, the Sierra Club, National Organization of Women-NYC, and many others.
With my primary right around the corner, I hope I can count on your support too. Please make sure to get yourself, your family, your friends and your neighbors, to the polls on Tuesday, June 28. The polls are open from 6am to 9pm.
Thanks for your support.
Carolyn B. Maloney
